Cape Town - The Embassy of France in South Africa, in partnership with the French Institute, the Alliance française Delegation in Southern Africa, the consulate of France in Cape Town and the CIEP (Centre international d'Etudes pédagogiques) will be offering an international training course for French language professionals from May 9 to 13 2016, in Cape Town.
Each year the CIEP, based in Sèvres, France, offers the internationally recognized BELC (Bureau d’enseignement de la langue et de la civilisation française à l’étranger) winter and summer schools. BELC is devoted to the teaching profession, and its training course is regarded as a major event in the continuing education of language professionals. The course in Cape Town will be the first on the African continent, and will gather 100 participants from 14 African countries.
This intensive five-day training course will host participants (Alliances françaises, local educational institutions, French schools) working in the Southern Africa and Indian Ocean regions, and will offer 9 training modules, roundtables and cultural activities. At the end of the training, a certificate will be issued by the CIEP to all participants.
