Cape Town - Spotting an opportunity that sparks an entrepreneurial idea is a strong driver of start-up businesses, but they are not creating jobs at the scale and rate SA so urgently needs.
This is just one of the findings of South Africa’s largest start-up survey announced on Tuesday by Donna Rachelson, chief executive officer of Seed Academy.
“While the percentage increase in the age of the businesses is small, the fact that it is increasing is a step in the right direction,” said Rachelson, comparing the results to last year’s findings.
