Cape Town - UK franchise Baguette Express is seeking international master franchise and area developer partners in South Africa to take its business global.
The baguette and sandwich chain network has around 50 stores in the UK and has recently opened in the Republic of Ireland and the Middle East.
According to a statement Baguette Express has built its reputation on providing fresh, healthy, high quality food in prime town centre locations, catering for the breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and early evening trade.
With the Food on The Go brands being in increasing demand, the company has also developed a kiosk/concession model within shopping centres and business parks as well as investing heavily in a sophisticated till system that enables detailed analysis of takings and shop trends remotely, according to the statement.
“Since establishing our first shops in 1999 we have proven the Baguette Express business model is sustainable and profitable. We already successfully offer single unit, regional developer and master franchise licenses here in the UK," said franchisor Robin Stenhouse.
"Many of our franchisees operate multiple outlets. Having appointed master licensees recently in the Republic of Ireland and the Middle East, we are now ready to take our business to new international markets. We are looking for motivated, ambitious and determined partners to become country master franchisees or area developers.”
Country master franchise and area developer licenses range from £150 000 (about R2.5m) to £350 000 (about R5.8m).
Additional working capital is required to grow and develop the Baguette Express brand and network in each country.
Extensive training, operational and marketing support for each country is provided by the Baguette Express central support team.
