Barclays Africa CEO Maria Ramos has accepted an invitation to become a member of the prestigious Group of Thirty (G30).
The G30 aims to deepen the understanding of international economic and financial issues, and to explore the international repercussions of decisions taken in the public and private sectors, Barclays Africa said in a statement.
“Other well-known members of this group include Ben Bernanke, the former chairman of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System; Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of England; Mervyn King, a member of the House of Lords as well as a former governor of the Bank of England; and William C Dudley, president, Federal Reserve Bank of New York,” the bank added.
