Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma will host a dialogue on the state of the country's economy on Friday, the presidency said.
The meeting, to be held in Pretoria, would include government, business, labour, and community representatives.
Business Unity SA, the Black Business Council, the Congress of SA Trade Unions, the National Council of Trade Unions, and the Federation of Unions of SA were among the organisations that would be attending.
"The meeting will seek to identify what each social partner can do to respond to the global economic crisis and other pressures on the economy, and how the country can promote economic growth and job creation in the current climate," the presidency said in a statement.
During a business summit in Midrand on Thursday, Zuma raised concerns about the violence of the countrywide strikes and their impact on the economy's growth.
He expressed concern about minimum wages in the mining sector and the conditions in which mineworkers lived.
