Harare - The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) now has a web portal that will allow local and international investors to access comprehensive information on companies that are listed on the bourse.
Speaking at the web portal launch, ZSE acting CEO Martin Matanda said the enhanced web portal will provide investors with information on a broad, immediate and non-exclusionary basis.
“The portal or website provides online access to content on the bourse to local and foreign vendors,” said Matanda.
It is part of a number of new regulatory initiatives by the ZSE to allow online information submission for improved interaction between the equities exchange and listed companies.
Matanda said that access to the ZSE data would now be offered for free by way of ZSE data portal website visits and social media, email alerts and Really Simple Syndication feeds
At the launch, ZSE chairperson Eve Gadzikwa said the online portal www.zse.co.zw was a test of what the exchange has in store as it moves towards automation. “Overall, it signals the mordenisation we have planned for the exchange.”
“You may be aware that we are pursuing a modernisation strategy and this portal has been developed using international best high-end technology and compliance standards,” Gazikwa said.
She added that the portal will serve as a comprehensive information platform, which will enable the ZSE to communicate effectively not only with the local market but with regional and international investors as well.
