Johannesburg - Over 70 000 construction workers, including those working at World Cup stadia, may down tools on Wednesday in what the SA Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors (Safcec) had earlier called an "illegal strike".
The National Union of Mineworkers (Num) on Monday won its case against Safcec in the Labour Court over the right to go on strike.
"Safcec last week sought an interdict to stop Num from striking. The Labour Court has this morning ruled in favour of Num and dismissed the case with costs," the union said in a statement.
"Employers must expect no mercy from us, they must deliver 13% or we will strike until 2011," said Num negotiator Bhekani Ngcobo.
