Johannesburg - Despite the recent improvement in the unemployment rate in South Africa, it remains stubbornly high at around 20%, said ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe on Wednesday.
He said the key issue remained the quality of jobs created and said the ANC was committed to not only creating more jobs, but realised the need for "decent" and "sustainable" work.
He was speaking at an event organised by the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sacci) in which political parties had an opportunity to present their key economic and policy agendas.
