Johannesburg - The head of the US
Export-Import Bank says the US will offer South Africa a $2bn loan
for renewable energy ventures.
Fred Hochberg told journalists on
Monday at an event in Johannesburg the deal will be signed on Tuesday
with South African officials.
Hochberg said the 18-year loans could
benefit companies like General Electric.
The loan comes during a visit to South
