Cape Town - Entries for South Africa’s prominent wine competition, the Veritas Awards, are now open.
Wine and brandy masters have until August 21 to enter their finest for Veritas.
Judging of the entered brandies takes place on September 13 while the magnitude of wines will be tasted from 16 to September 20.
Judging is two weeks later this year and that should benefit wineries and distilleries to get their products ready because entry dates are also two weeks later.
Every year some 1 700 market-ready wines and brandies put their best foot forward in the hope of earning the sought-after Veritas symbol of quality.
This year’s top-notch wines and brandies will be announced on October 5 during a gala dinner at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
