The ban on a number of products manufactured in China from importation into Taiwan has affected multinational companies' business, ECCT chairperson Giuseppe Izzo said.
"Lifting the ban and other restrictions would benefit businesses and consumers in Taiwan and make Taiwan more attractive to international investors," Izzo told a news conference as the group published its 2015 position paper.
"We would be interested in more trade liberalization," including a trade in services agreement, said Roland Wein, executive director of German Trade Office in Taipei.
German companies are interested in seeing the establishment of free economic pilot zones in Taiwan and Taiwan's signing of more free trade agreements with other countries, Wein said.
