State to review PPPs

Cape Town - All public-private partnership (PPP) models across government are to be reviewed, the cabinet has decided.

At its regular fortnightly meeting on Wednesday, cabinet supported the correctional services department's decision to cancel the PPPs for constructing prisons, government spokesperson Jimmy Manyi told reporters on Thursday.

Cabinet had agreed that current PPPs in the department be reviewed.

"Furthermore, cabinet will review the PPP models across government," he said.
