.Nelspruit - Commentators say President Jacob Zuma highlighted two important economic problems in his election manifesto speech on Saturday.
They said the most noticeable were job creation and the introduction of a tender board.
Zuma was speaking at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga where the African National Congress launched its 2014 election manifesto.
He said the ANC was planning on increasing the number of training and skill centres throughout the country.

The ANC also aimed to create at least six million jobs in the next five years, and, said Zuma: “"[The] majority [of jobs] will be reserved for young people."
He said the financial sector would be encouraged to be more inclusive and accessible.
Mentioning the establishment of a tender board, the president said it would adjudicate tenders in all spheres of government.
"We are changing the tender system, which has been such a big problem in our country.

"Public servants and public representatives will be prohibited from doing business with the state."
He said ANC members and public representatives who were found guilty would be expected to step down from their positions.
The party would also continue to fight crime and police capacity would be increased.
