Johannesburg -The acting managing director of Pikitup, Ika Magasa, has welcomed the arrest of four bogus operatives pretending to be Pikitup employees.
They were arrested in Johannesburg's Kelvin suburb for harassing and demanding donations or Christmas gifts from residents.
The bogus employees were charged with theft under false pretence and would appear in court soon.
Magasa called on residents of Johannesburg to report imposters and staff who approach or harass them for gifts or donations and said corporate governance and zero tolerance to corruption were of critical importance to Pikitup.
He said the company would leave no stone unturned to root out corrupt officials and unscrupulous people trying to rob the residents of Johannesburg.
