Johannesburg - The SA Reserve Bank (Sarb) is still facing intense challenges and, although many of the country's problems are not its mandate, it will be mindful of the impact of its policy decisions on economic growth, it said on Wednesday.
"As the global financial crisis mutates into its new phase, the challenges facing the bank remain intense," the Sarb said in its 2013/14 annual report.
It added that emerging markets were likely to face a difficult year.
