Johannesburg - The South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral), which operates the national road network, denied on Monday that the introduction of toll roads in Gauteng will be delayed due to an interim court interdict granted last week.
Last week, the North Gauteng High Court ordered Sanral to stop building a structure along the N1 that may conceal advertising signage and billboards.
Alex van Niekerk, the manager of the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project at Sanral, told I-Net Bridge the electronic tolling will start as planned in the second quarter next year.
Van Niekerk said this matter was still in court, denying that it had delayed the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project.
