Johannesburg - If your company has cash to spend, clients to impress, and staff to entertain, now's your chance with 2010 Fifa World Cup hospitality packages up for grabs. But be prepared to shell out the pennies - big time.
Companies will now be able to start buying bulk tickets for the World Cup, said Match Hospitality, Fifa's official hospitality agent, on Wednesday.
"There is a surplus amount of tickets that have come on to the market and Fifa asked us to assist with distribution to corporations registered in South Africa," said Match Hospitality marketing and sales director Mark Zeeman.
But be warned, this comes at a hefty price.
There's a minimum purchase of four tickets per package, which could see companies paying at least $32 000 or about R234 240 for the cheapest tickets available.
A final round series 4 ticket, which includes four matches, will cost $14 000 (R102 480) for the suite hospitality while Fifa business seats will cost $9 500 (R69 540).
Final round series 2 and 3 Fifa business seats are selling at $8 000 (R58 560) and $10 500 (R76 860) per ticket respectively, while final round series 2 suite hospitality tickets will fetch $12 000 (R87 840).
For this bulked-up price, ticket holders can blow on their vuvuzelas while receiving high-end catering and bar services, dedicated parking, entertainment, gifts and access to travel packages.
While tickets can be given to staff or used for incentive programmes or to entertain clients, they cannot be sold on or bought by people outside the company, Match said.
