Johannesburg - A trade deficit of R14bn was recorded by SA Revenue Service (Sars) for July, Sars said on Friday.
"The R14.21bn deficit for July 2013 can be attributed to exports of R75.69bn and imports of R89.89bn," Sars said in a statement.
Exports rose from June to July by R7.45bn (10.9%) and imports by R13.97bn (18.4%) in the same period.
"The cumulative deficit for 2013 is R89.37bon, compared to R59.02bn in 2012," Sars said.
