Johannesburg - Growth in South Africa’s manufacturing output quickened to 2.6% year-on-year in volume terms in November compared with an upwardly revised 1.2% rise in October, Statistics South Africa said on Thursday.
Economists in a Reuters survey expected year-on-year output growth of 0.7% in November. Compared with October, production in volume terms was up by a seasonally adjusted 2.9% and rose 2.0% in the three months to November compared with the previous three months.
