SA to spend R1.3trn on power

'Little more power' may save jobs

Johannesburg - South Africa will spend R1.3trn by 2025 to increase the country's electricity generation capacity, power utility Eskom said on Thursday.

"In addressing new capacity a lot of investment is going to be made ... Eskom is going to spend 1.3 trillion rand on new capacity up to 2025," Eskom CEO Jacob Maroga said during a press conference.
