Cape Town - The government has not yet quantified the impact on the economy of a five-month platinum strike but it still expects to meet its revenue collection targets, Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene said on Wednesday.
The strike which ended last week cost the world's three largest platinum producers more than R24bn in lost revenue.
Nene was speaking to reporters in Cape Town.
On Tuesday, Nene said that the SA Revenue Service intends collecting nearly R1trn during the 2014/15 tax season, which has kicked off.
