Johannesburg - South Africa will have two new universities in two years, Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande said on Thursday.
"The plan is to have the universities by 2014," he said at a Black Business Council summit in Midrand.
They would be built in Mpumalanga and the Northern Cape.
President Jacob Zuma told the meeting earlier the sites for the two universities were being identified and sod-turning could take place soon.
