Cape Town - A wine battle may be uncorked as imports of rosés from South Africa, France, Italy, Spain, Germany vie for shelf space and a share of the US market, which may be good news for the country's consumers.
South Africa's rosé exports to the US increased by 10.9% to 347 148L in 2013.
Wines of South Africa spokesperson at the US office, Jim Clarke, told Fin24 that the export promotion body has observed rising popularity of rosé wines in the US over a ten year period and ascribes its recent popularity with the rise of millenials.
