Johannesburg - South African businesses plan to invest at least $600m in Zambia mainly in mining and agriculture over the next two years, a minister said on Tuesday.
Zambia's Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Felix Mutati told a delegation of entrepreneurs from both countries on the sidelines of South African President Jacob Zuma's visit to Zambia.
Zuma is in the copper rich country with a delegation of ministers and 60 businessmen and will end his visit on Thursday.
"We shall be seeing investment from South Africa in excess of $600m in the coming two years," Mutati said.
Mutati said that the investments would be in industries including Zambia's main economic lifeblood of mining as well as agriculture, manufacturing among others.
