Maputo - South Africa continues to be Mozambique's top foreign investor, according to data released by the Maputo-based centre for investment promotion (CPI).
According to the CPI, an institution that analyses and approves investments in Mozambique, South African investors injected $60m into business deals in their neighbouring country in the first six months of this year.
Their investments were realised in 30 projects in diverse areas, but mainly in travel and tourism, especially in the southern provinces.
Also, in the first half of this year, Macau, a special administrative region on China, invested $5.1m in Mozambique.
