Johannesburg - The South African Reserve Bank’s monthly
leading business cycle indicator declined 1.5% in April compared with March
mainly because of deteriorating business confidence and the growth rate of M1
money supply, a survey showed on Tuesday.
The indicator collates data such as vehicle sales, job advertisements, business confidence and money supply to gauge the economic outlook.
