Johannesburg - The price of all grades of petrol will drop by 11c per litre next Wednesday, in time for the peak holiday driving season.
The price of petrol stays more than R10/litre, but comes down to R10.66 for 95 octane in Gauteng and R10.36 at the coast.
Diesel users, however, will be hit with a punishing hike of between 44c/litre and 47c/litre.
Paraffin prices will rise by 43c/litre and LP Gas by 41c/kg.
The department of energy said that while the international petrol price had come down, that of diesel, paraffin and gas had risen.
A weaker rand also contributed to the hike.
