Johannesburg - Economist and industrial policy expert Tshediso Matona has been appointed public enterprises director general, the ministry said on Wednesday.
"His skills and expertise will be key in... ensuring that state-owned enterprises are key instruments to support the state's developmental agenda," ministerial spokesperson Richard Mantu said.
Matona previously worked in the trade and industry department.
His appointment will take effect from January 2011. He replaces acting director general Andrew Shaw.
