Johannesburg - Talks between platinum mines and the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union are set to continue, the CCMA said on Wednesday.
Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) mediators met representatives of Amcu on Wednesday to try and bring an end to the month-long strike.
Amcu is demanding a R12 500 basic salary for miners.
"This concludes the round of individual engagements with the parties, and the CCMA will now be convening a joint meeting of the parties to continue with the mediation process," CCMA spokesperson Laura Mseme said in a statement.
The meeting would be held at the CCMA's national office on Friday.
CCMA director Nerine Kahn said individual talks with the parties were constructive and had served to pave the way for the process on Friday.
"It must be seen as a positive that all parties have remained in the process, and that this is an affirmation of the parties' commitment to finding a negotiated solution," said Kahn.
