Cape Town - Sixteen weeks down the line and the strike on the platinum belt is crying out for intervention, says Inside Labour columnist Terry Bell in his inaugural weekly, in a studio labour wrap.
"This is definitely a national crisis... miners and their families are starving and some miners have committed suicide."
If this does not necessitate intervention, then perhaps allegations of questionable profits made by platinum companies will, because "government may be losing tax revenue."
