Johannesburg - The price of petrol will go up by a whopping 28c a litre next Wednesday.
This brings the price of 95 octane petrol to R11.23/l in Gauteng and R10.93 at the coast.
Diesel will rise by up to 10c/l, paraffin by 5c in the retail price and LP gas 36c per kilogram. A litre of diesel will now cost R10.37/l in Gauteng and R10.16 at the coast.
The department of energy said on Friday that global prices for petrol, diesel and paraffin have risen, while a strengthening in the rand helped pare back a price increase.
