Johannesburg - All grades of petrol will be hit by a
9 cents per litre increase on Wednesday, while the price of diesel remains unchanged,
the department of energy said on Friday.
The hike brings the cost of a litre of petrol to just over
R10.18 for 95 octane in Gauteng and to R9.88 at the coast.
Although the oil price decreased in the past month, the rand
weakened against the dollar, prompting the rise.
Paraffin users will pay 2c less and LP Gas prices remain unchanged.
