No clarity on power outage

Johannesburg - City Power has posted load-shedding schedules on its website, but said this did not mean it would happen, the Citizen reported on Thursday.

"On an annual basis we update our load-shedding schedules. However at this stage there is no indication of load-shedding," said City Power spokesperson Louis Pieterse.

Some areas on the schedule are listed for load-shedding three times a week, from 6:00 to 10:00m, or 18:00 to 22:00.

Earlier this month, Eskom said that it did not issue an alert despite municipalities updating their load-shedding schedules.
