Johannesburg - Business Leadership SA (BLSA) has appointed Thero Setiloane as its new CEO, replacing Michael Spicer, it announced on Tuesday.
"In Thero Setiloane... we found... a South African business person deep rooted in society already playing an important role in transformation," said BLSA chairperson Bobby Godsell.
"We are absolutely delighted in Thero becoming chief executive on September 1."
Spicer would remain with the BLSA as a non-executive vice president, and would lead a drive for South African businesses to branch out into the rest of the continent.
"I think its time for new blood to come in and take it to different levels," said Spicer.
