Net reserves rise to $41.934bn

Johannesburg - South Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves rose to $41.934bn in April from $41.275bn in March, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Friday.

Gross reserves also increased to $47.043bn from $46.437bn but the forward position, which represents the central bank's unsettled or swap transactions, fell to $2.634bn from $2.702bn.
