Johannesburg - South Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell in January to $44.918bn from $45.479bn in December, Reserve Bank data showed on Friday.
Gross reserves declined to $49.350bn from $49.587bn in December while the forward position fell to $3.514bn in January, from $3.584bn the previous month.
