Johannesburg - Congress of SA Trade Unions' affiliate the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) will march to the Western Cape premier’s office with the SACP and the ANC in the province, the union said on Wednesday.
Nehawu would join unemployed people from around the province on Thursday, said union general secretary Luthando Nogcinisa.
Nogcinisa said the union had noted that the Democratic Alliance (DA) had claimed it would create six million jobs and a million internships.
"We challenge the DA’s employment creation record in the province."
He said thousands of unemployed people were expected to attend the march.
"We expect them to be the first batch of workers to be employed by the administration in line with the DA’s promise to create 6 million 'real' jobs."
