Johannesburg - Motorists are in for more pain when the
prices of petrol and diesel rise sharply next week - for the fourth consecutive
month.
All grades of petrol will rise by 23c/litre and diesel by
36c/litre. This brings the price of 95 octane petrol in Gauteng to R10.77/l and
at the coast to R10.47/l.
Diesel will cost R10.01/l in Gauteng and R981/l at the
coast.
The department of energy said while global oil prices came
down the rand weakened, prompting the steep hike.
