Johannesburg - The South African ministerial delegation attending the innovaBrics conference arrived in London on Monday, the communications department said.
"South Africa's participation in the innovaBrics conference will be within the context of promoting the country as a prime business destination and the National Development Plan," the department said in a statement.
The ministerial delegation was led by Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe.
He would be accompanied by Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies, Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene and Communications Minister Faith Muthambi.
"Radebe will this morning open the third annual innovaBrics conference and together with ministers also brief opinion makers and potential investors on the progress made by the country since 1994," the department said.
The presidency on Sunday denied reports that President Jacob Zuma cancelled his trip to the United Kingdom because he was refused an audience with the British Prime Minister David Cameron.
This was after City Press reported that Zuma pulled out of a high-level gathering because he was reportedly offered a meeting with Cameron's deputy Nick Clegg, which he refused. This was according to unnamed officials in London with knowledge of the planned visit.
This was the second time this year that Zuma had cancelled a visit to the UK at short notice. In February, he was to have attended an official memorial service for former president Nelson Mandela at Westminster Abbey, but cancelled. He went to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's daughter's wedding instead.
