Johannesburg - A survey by mining firm Lonmin has shown that "most" of its striking workers want to return to work after having been on strike for more than 10 weeks, CEO Ben Magara said on Thursday.
Lonmin has declared force majeure with some suppliers because of the strike, Magara said on Thursday.
He said the firm had not gone to the open market to buy platinum to supply customers and would only do so as a last resort.
Force majeure is an industry term for when a producer is unable to supply due to forces beyond its control.
