Pretoria - Former Land Bank CEO Philemon Mohlahlane appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on charges relating to the alleged falsification of his qualifications, said the Hawks.
He was released on bail of R1 000 and the case was postponed until May 5.
Mohlahlane was arrested by the Hawks in Polokwane on Thursday for the second time this month.
The first arrest was on allegations that he defrauded the Land Bank of R14m. He was also granted bail in that case and it was postponed until May 3.
Hawks spokesperson McIntosh Polela said at the time of his second arrest that, according to information in the Hawks' possession, Mohlahlane wrote the matric exam in 1974, but failed.
The Polokwane Observer newspaper reported in November that an external auditing firm found that Mohlahlane, who claimed the title of doctor, had not passed matric and that his degree from the United States was bogus.
Based on his qualifications, Mohlahlane served as a Free State provincial government department head, Land Bank CEO and Limpopo Agricultural Development Corporation (LADC) CEO.
He was axed from the LADC post last year after about two months in the position.
