Johannesburg - Solidarity trade union, which mostly represents skilled workers in the mining sector, has demanded a 12 percent increase from the Chamber of Mines, it said on Friday.
"This year's wage negotiations at the Chamber of Mines will be the toughest ever," Solidarity said in a statement, citing troubled labour relations, low commodity prices and unreliable power supply as major issues facing the industry.
