Vavi: The primary reason Numsa was dismissed is because they did not want to campaign for the ANC in 2014 elections.
All the reasoning to expel Numsa were political except the one on Numsa saying it will lobby in other sectors.
SAMWU took the same decision not to campaign for the ANC in 2011, no one threatened them with expulsion, no one.

Suspended Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi has condemned the decision of the federation’s NEC to dismiss him with immediate effect. "I condemn the decisions of NEC, which dismissed the general secretary who was democratically elected," he said at a press conference at a house in Morningside.
