Johannesburg - Growth in South Africa's retail sales was at 1.9% year-on-year in June from a revised 6.0% in May, Statistics South Africa said on Wednesday.
On a month-on-month basis, sales growth was steady between May and June and rose 3.3% in the three months to June, compared with the same period in the previous year.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected year-on-year sales growth of 3% in June from 6.2% previously reported.
