The poll showed crime to be a major concern for almost two-thirds of South Africans, followed by HIV/Aids.

Another finding was that South Africans appeared to be impressed with the government's efforts in providing welfare services.
About 81% of respondents said the government was performing well in this area.
About 77% approved government efforts in providing basic services, such as water and electricity.
