Tokyo - Japan's unemployment rate fell by 0.1% from the previous month to 3.6% in February the government said on Friday.
The number of jobless dropped in February for the 45th straight month, declining by 450 000 from a year earlier to 2.32 million people, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said.
Wholesalers and retailers added 170 000 jobs to reach 10.58 million on payrolls, and medical and welfare services saw an increase of 230 000 employees to 7.7 million, the ministry said.
