Berlin - German exports to Russia slumped 35% in January, amid the country's worsening economic crisis, according to official figures published Tuesday.
January's exports were €1.44bn, down from €2.22bn in January 2014, according to preliminary figures by the Federal Statistics Office.
Eckhard Cordes, the chairman of the Ostausschuss, a German industry committee overseeing relations with eastern Europe, said that the outlook was bleak because business was hampered by the weak rouble and economic sanctions.
