Johannesburg - The retail price of fuel will increase next week, the department of energy said on Friday.

Spokeswoman Thandiwe Maimane said the price of all grades of fuel would increase by 32 cents per litre.

Both forms of diesel, with a 0.05 sulphur octane and 0.005 sulphur octane, would increase by 32.96c per litre.

The price of illuminating paraffin would increase by 25c per litre and liquid petroleum gas would increase by 22c per kilogram.

The price changes would be effected on Wednesday, August 7.
