Johannesburg - French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Alain Juppe, is expected to visit South Africa to promote bilateral ties, the international relations department said on Monday.
Spokesperson Clayson Monyela said Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane was expected to meet Juppe in Pretoria on Friday.
The ministers would discuss issues affecting the promotion of peace and development in Africa, the promotion of an inclusive and efficient system of global governance and the upcoming COP17 meeting.
"The visit also seeks to promote consultation and co-operation between South Africa and France on a series of global and international issues of shared strategic significance, including, but not limited to Africa." said Monyela.
