Cape Town - Over a 10-year period, former Eskom chief executive Brian Dames received a salary and bonus that increased from R1.142m in 2004/05 to nearly R10m in 2013/14, according to Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown.
DA MP Natasha Michael asked the minister in a written question to make a comparison between the summarised group financial results of Eskom, with the base salary and bonuses paid to each of the executive directors of Eskom from 2004 to 2014.
Dames, who stepped down in March 2014, earned R49.837m in total over the time period, while the total of all executives over that period was R332.1m.
